Traders 500 & Podium 2010 – A Great Success

Traders 500 and the Podium series of events concluded in Sydney last year and bought to an end a fantastic and successful program.  Beginning in WA in September, the trade shows averaged over 400 contractors per day and generated a combined sales total of over $1.5 million for the 5 events.

The supplier feedback has been great and extremely complimentary about improvements we made to the program but more importantly about the level of engagement of all of our staff that attended.  Our suppliers rank this as the most important feature of the program and to hear this feedback is wonderful acknowledgement for our staff.  Every Branch Manager nationally attended along with a number of metropolitan staff and to hear this feedback from our Suppliers is great news.  Well done to all!

Jimmy Barnes proved a hit with our customers with many saying it was the best function they had been to.   We finished with Guns n Roses in Sydney on Saturday night, which again proved a big hit with our customers.  All had a great night after being at the V8’s on Saturday

Throughout Traders, we were offering attendees the chance to win the L&H GT-P once they had visited all the supplier stands.  The final draw took place in Sydney on Saturday with the lucky winner being Tim Hicks from Victoria.  Tim was over the moon with the win and was still in shock a few days later.  Congratulations Tim!

It is worth re-enforcing why we run Traders and Podium – it provides us with a unique platform to promote our business, our supplier partners and our products to our entire and prospective customer base.  It is the only trade show in the industry that provides our staff the opportunity to showcase our customer offer in one room.  Podium also gives us the opportunity to reward our loyal customers but to also attract new customers.  With over 2,500 customers nationally attending Traders and/or Podium, it is a great way to promote our business.

Finally, I would like to thank all the Operations Staff and Branch Managers for their efforts throughout the program.  It has been acknowledge by our suppliers and customers on how well you have worked within the program.  I would also like to thank the Marketing Team – Rachel, Rochelle, Carly and Peter – for their tireless efforts.
